ECOWAS announced that the ECOWAS Business Council (EBC), scheduled to launch officially in September, will be the region\u2019s main private sector platform, aiming to boost economic integration, investment, and global competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the steering committee\u2019s preparatory meeting in Abuja, Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Agriculture, Massandj\u00e9 Toure-Litse, and representatives such as Dr. Tony Elumelu and Dr. Mansur Ahmed highlighted the importance of reviewing preparatory documents, ensuring a solid launch, and leveraging the EBC as a catalyst for public-private collaboration and sustainable economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EBC will provide strategic information for policies, regional trade promotion, and cross-border investment support, strengthening the role of the private sector in economic policy formulation and regional competitiveness.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
